Church Auction

The auction needs your help!

(The Auction is both our major fellowship and fund-raising event in the church. It is fun and raises bucks. Consider joining in. It can be fun, you know!- Ben)
1. Solicitors- Outgoing people to reach out to the local business community to follow up on letters sent and to request/collect donations. Solicitations take place during the month of October at your convenience.

2. Solicitation Manager - This person will lead the solicitors, work with them to assign local businesses and provide support as needed.

3. Donation Manager - This person will track donations received from solicitors, the congregation and the basket brigade.

4. Storage - We are in desperate need of a place to store donations and baskets for approximately 3 weeks. Donations are to be collected the weekends of October 25 and November 1. They can be moved to the church on Sunday November 8 so we will be out of your place well in advance of thanksgiving. It is a short term commitment, however an important part of the process.

5. Bookkeeper - Jaco-Louis has created a system to record winning bids the night of the auction which uses excel and access (Basic knowledge is needed). He will train this individual or team so they can record the bids and total them for payment collection.

6. Set Up and Clean Up - Folks who can help Friday night, Saturday morning and/or Saturday night after the auction are greatly appreciated. We'd like to know people are on board ahead of time.

We understand not all these tasks are fun; however, we as a group try to have fun while doing these tasks. This is the biggest social event the church hosts and we need a few more people with the skills and a little time to help make the auction a wonderful event. Please consider volunteering and contact Holly Yochim (contact the church at 973-962-7431 or Ringwoodcpc@gmail.com for details). We look forward to welcoming you to the team. Thank you.

Youth Group

Middle School Youth Group (grades 6-8) - we will meet during the 10:30 worship service in the youth group room. We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month and have a social activity once per month.
Senior High Youth Group (grades 9-12) - 7-8:30pm in the youth group room. We will meet every 2nd Sunday of the month and have a social activity once per month.
Both youth groups will be involved in mission projects and volunteer work as well.
Come check us out! We have two GREAT groups and we have LOTS of fun!

Each week, one or more families volunteer to host a small hospitality hour after Sunday services. Unless they request otherwise, they are thanked for their contribution at the beginning of service. Please help keep this friendly part of service consistent by signing up for one Sunday of the month.

The Community Bells will begin again at 7:45pm on Wednesday September 3, 2014.

The Harmony Bells will begin again at 7:30pm on Monday September 8, 2014.

The Youth Bell Program will begin on Thursday September 18, 2014. This year we are going to be running the youth program a little differently. A new choir for our younger players in First and Second Grade will run from 4:15 until 4:45 and then the older group - Third Grade and above - will meet from 4:45 until 5:30. All children are really welcome to join either group. If you need more details, or the time, or a ride to practice, please do not hesitate to contact Jill MacDonald.

Buy Your Groceries From Church

The Chancel Choir has started an ongoing fund raiser by selling prepaid grocery debit cards to local grocery stores. If you shop at Stop & Shop, A&P, or Shop Rite you will be able to purchase prepaid debit cards in $50 and $100 values. For every card sold the church earns a percentage in return. When your prepaid debit card is empty, please buy a new card from the church to ensure continued support of the fundraising program. If you have a grocery store you would like to see added to the program, have questions or would like to place an order of $500 or more, please contact John Van Dugteren.
